CNBC, asked whether the fund's forced selling caused the Korea crash.
not only was his leverage on his $45 billion, let's say it was leveraged to $150 billion, but there was a lot of money piggybacking on his trade, so I think in some ways, you know, the unwind, and even last week was due to a lot of funds being aware that he might have been in trouble.

CNBC, on whether the collapse previews a wider AI shakeout.
I think when you see a shake out of the AI space, it's not so much the MAX 7 we should be watching, but the lesser companies. And I think that the stories about situational awareness in particular point to what can happen very quickly in the rest of the AI space as the correction and the cleaning up continues.

All-In on the Situational Awareness blowup; asked about the chip-stock crash and the fund's margin call.
If I was going to give you one piece of advice when you're running risk is you have to manage leverage incredibly carefully because when it runs ahead of you, the unwind is incredibly violent and it's incredibly quick. [...] the rumors are he was running like three and a half turns [...] a 25 percent move is amplified 75 percent.

All-In; his verdict on what the blowup means. Holds the AI capex thesis intact; blames leverage alone.
I think it was Warren Buffett or maybe Munger who said that leverage is the only way that smart people go broke [...] if you're not using leverage, your portfolio would just be down 30% this month. [...] but if you're leveraged three or four X, you're wiped out and you get margin called.
