BearThe U.S. Economy hedged · 2026-08-14
Tim Waterer (KCM Trade) reads unchanged 10-year yields despite soft CPI, PPI and jobs as the bond market being more worried about the long-term US economy than the Fed is.
maybe the bond market a little bit more worried about the US economy longer term than what the Fed is, perhaps.
HoldThe Fed hedged · 2026-08-14
Tim Waterer (KCM Trade) thinks soft data lets the Fed's doves be patient at the September meeting, but oil prices mean a September hike is not fully off the table.
this week's data gives a little bit more credibility to the doves that want to be patient, but not out of the woods yet for September, I would have thought.
BullAI Winners & Chips 2026-08-14
Tim Waterer (KCM Trade) is bullish on chip manufacturers through the end of 2027 on full order books and calls pullbacks buying opportunities.
So I think in the here and now, I think through 2027, I think the chip names are still looking pretty good.

BullGold & Hard Assets hedged · 2026-08-14
Tim Waterer (KCM Trade) is structurally bullish gold: easing oil and dollar could take it above 4,500, with 5,000 a stretch this year but possible in Q1 2027.
So I think if we did get some reprieve on the oil and dollar front, that could open the avenue higher for gold above 4500. 5000 could be a bit of a stretch this year, but perhaps in Q1 2027.

NeutralThe Dollar hedged · 2026-08-14
Tim Waterer (KCM Trade) expects USD/JPY to trade in a 153-160 range for the rest of 2026, with intervention chatter above 160.
Quite possibly, certainly not a certainty, but I think we could see it maybe operating and saw that 153 to 160 range for the rest of the year
